Inaugurated in 1938 with Kadoorie family funding in memory of Laura Kadoorie, founded in 1923 by Captain Artur Barros Basto to reach the Bnei Anusim of northern Portugal. Widely cited as one of the largest synagogues on the Iberian Peninsula and in Europe. Visits by appointment only.
