Munich's Jewish Center - the Ohel Jakob synagogue, the Jewish Museum and the community centre - sits together on St.-Jakobs-Platz, a step from the central Marienplatz. Visiting the synagogue means booking a guided tour in advance and bringing a passport; anyone who wants to attend a service as a non-member has to register roughly one to two weeks ahead.
Stay in the kosher area of Munich
Munich does not have one obvious Jewish quarter. Chabad Lubawitsch Munich (Chabad house listed on the site) is the anchor - book a hotel within walking distance of it rather than picking a random part of Munich.
If you complete your booking there during this same visit, we earn a small referral commission from the partner - at no extra cost to you.
