The Site is an information guide and a discovery platform connecting kosher and Shabbat-observant travelers with destinations, businesses and service providers worldwide - synagogues, Chabad houses, mikvehs, kosher restaurants, hotels, attractions, stores, flights, car rentals and more.

The Site is not a travel agency, does not sell travel services, is not a kashrut authority and does not grant kosher certifications. The Site is not a party to any transaction between you and any business, hotel, restaurant, airline or other supplier mentioned on it.

Information on the Site - including kashrut details, supervising authorities, Shabbat candle-lighting/havdalah times, opening hours, addresses, prices and availability - is collected from public sources, from the businesses themselves and from partners, and may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. A business's kashrut status may change at any time without notice.

It is your sole responsibility to independently verify - with the business, the relevant kashrut authority and/or a qualified rabbi - the validity of any certification, the identity of the supervision and any other halachic detail before relying on it. Shabbat times shown on the Site are illustrative only and must not be relied upon in practice.

The Site, its owners and operators shall bear no liability for any damage, loss, distress or religious/halachic harm arising from reliance on information appearing on the Site.

The Site may be used for personal, private purposes only. Copying, reproducing, distributing, selling or making commercial use of Site content without prior written consent is prohibited.

When creating an account you must provide true and accurate details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity in your account. Registration is permitted for persons aged 18 and over only.

You may not use the Site for any unlawful purpose, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass security measures, scrape data, or upload offensive, misleading or infringing content.

Coupons and benefits displayed on the Site are offered and honored by the businesses alone. The Site does not guarantee that a business will honor a coupon and is not responsible for the nature, quality or availability of any product or service obtained through a coupon or recommendation on the Site. Any claim should be directed to the business.

Each registered user may redeem at most one discount coupon per business. The Site may, at its sole discretion, void a coupon, block further redemption, or restrict/suspend an account found to be circumventing this limit or otherwise abusing the coupon mechanism.

The Site may contain links to external websites (booking sites, airlines, service providers). The Site does not control and is not responsible for their content. Some links may be affiliate links that earn the Site a commission - at no extra cost to you.

All intellectual property rights in the Site - including the BooKasher brand, logo, design, source code, information structure and original content - belong to the Site's owners. Use of the Site grants you no rights in this intellectual property.

The Site and its content are provided "AS IS", without any warranty, express or implied, including as to availability, accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of the Site is at your sole risk.

In any event, and without derogating from the above, the aggregate liability of the Site, its owners and operators for any damage of any kind shall not exceed the amount (if any) you paid the Site in the six months preceding the event. The Site shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special damage.

You agree to indemnify the Site, its owners and operators for any damage, expense or claim caused to them by your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Site.

This policy is written to implement the principles of Israel's Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, as amended - including Amendment 13 (5784-2024) - and, to the extent applicable to the processing of EU residents' data, the principles of the EU GDPR. This policy is not a substitute for individual legal advice and does not constitute a full legal compliance certification under any law.

Information we collect: (a) from registered users - name, email address and password (stored using one-way hashing only, never in plain text); (b) from business partners - business name, contact name, email, phone, and the business listing claimed; (c) from prospective partners submitting an interest form - business name, contact name, email, phone, city, category and message content; (d) usage data - pages viewed, favorites, coupons claimed and redeemed, and anonymous data for statistical purposes.

Basis for processing: performance of our agreement with you (operating your account and the services you requested), your consent (for example when submitting a partnership inquiry form, or for non-essential analytics cookies), and the Site's legitimate interest in its proper and secure operation.

The Site does not sell your details to third parties. Information may be disclosed to service providers who operate the Site on our behalf only (such as hosting, email delivery, the AI provider powering the chat assistant, and an IP-based country-lookup provider), to the extent necessary and subject to confidentiality obligations. Some of these providers may process data outside Israel; where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to protect the data as required by law.

Information is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and thereafter as required by applicable retention obligations. Prospective-partner inquiries (leads) are retained for a reasonable period to allow follow-up, and deleted upon request or once no longer needed.

In accordance with your rights under applicable law, you may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information, and object to certain processing, by contacting [email protected]. Account deletion will remove your personal details from the Site's systems within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law. If you are not satisfied with how your request was handled, you may contact Israel's Privacy Protection Authority, and EU residents may contact their local supervisory authority.

The Site employs reasonable security measures to protect information (including password hashing and access controls), and undertakes to comply with applicable data-breach notification obligations, including notifying the Privacy Protection Authority and affected individuals where legally required.

The Site uses essential cookies for operation and analytics cookies (subject to your consent via the cookie banner) to improve the service. You may change your cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link on the Site, or via your browser settings.

If you accept analytics cookies, the Site loads Google Analytics 4 (a service of Google LLC, USA) to understand how the Site is used: pages viewed, traffic source, device and language. Google may process IP addresses and cookie identifiers (such as _ga) under its own privacy policy. We do not use this data for targeted advertising, and Google advertising cookies remain blocked. You may withdraw consent at any time via cookie preferences. Google Search Console ownership verification, if enabled, is a meta tag only and does not collect browsing data.

Some pages on the Site also embed interactive booking tools from third-party partners (such as Kiwi, Tiqets, Airalo and QEEQ, via the Travelpayouts affiliate network) - these tools may set their own cookies for marketing and affiliate-commission tracking purposes, and are therefore only loaded after you accept cookies; if you declined in the cookie banner, you'll be shown an option to separately accept before any such tool loads.

The Site also operates a pay-per-click (CPC) advertising system for business partners, displayed in dedicated categories on the Site. To operate it - in particular to prevent double-billing and to identify clicks that appear to originate from a bot or automated traffic - the Site records, for each click and view of such an ad, the IP address from which it occurred and an anonymous session identifier stored in an essential, operational cookie (not a marketing or personalization cookie about you as a user). The IP address is also used to identify the country the click came from (country-level only, no precise location), so aggregate geographic breakdowns can be shown in the performance reports provided to the advertising partner. This information is used solely for these purposes - calculating billing with the partner, geographic breakdowns in reports, and preventing abuse of the system - and is retained for as long as necessary for that purpose and for lawful accounting recordkeeping.

The Site may amend these terms from time to time. Notice of a material change will be posted on the Site, and continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

The Site may, at its discretion, suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and may modify, suspend or discontinue the Site, in whole or in part, at any time.

These terms are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa district shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter relating to the Site and these terms.
