Search flightsPunta del Este, Uruguay's upscale beach destination, becomes a magnet during the South American summer (December-March) for a large Jewish community from Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay itself. 613 Kosher Punta, on Calle 24 between 25 and 27, serves kosher food under the supervision of Or Israel Yeshiva Uruguay. The city also has two synagogues (Bet Meir and Bet Yakof).
Punta del Este does not have one obvious Jewish quarter. 613 Kosher Punta (kosher restaurant listed on the site) is the anchor - book somewhere near it, especially during the South American summer season.
