A small, affluent, very organized community: synagogue, mikveh, restaurant and grocery in the same compound near Waterloo Street. Everything is close - rare in Asia. Strict hours, everything by reservation. Shabbat on foot from a central hotel. Nothing kosher at the hawker centres: don't give in to the smell, it isn't supervised.
