About this place

The main active synagogue in Bucharest, built 1866-1867 inspired by Vienna's synagogue, in Moorish style. Partially destroyed in the 1941 Iron Guard pogrom and renovated several times, most recently in 2015. One of the few synagogues in Romania with a regular daily minyan.
