About this place

Norway's only synagogue, in a former train station building acquired in 1924 and opened as a synagogue in 1925. The community was founded in 1892. The synagogue has been targeted by antisemitic incidents (a 2006 shooting, a 2016 bomb threat) and operates under heightened security - arrange a visit in advance.
