Our guide
The Diamond District is one of the densest Orthodox enclaves in the world: Machsike Hadass and Shomre Hadass are not the same hashgacha. Hoffy's (meat) and Kleinblatt (bakery) are under Machsike Hadass. Everything is on foot, within a small radius. On Friday afternoon the streets empty out: do your shopping and get challah at Kleinblatt before then. Antwerp pairs well with Efteling (~1 hour) on a weekday. No need for a car in the district; useful for the park.
Stay in the kosher area of Antwerp
For Shabbat in Antwerp, base yourself in or near the Jewish Quarter near the Diamond district - Chabad House of Antwerp (Chabad house listed on the site) is within walking distance from there, along with the other kosher listings for the city.
