The Ghetto's five historic synagogues can only be entered on a guided tour booked in advance - you can't wander through them on your own. The Jewish Museum is under renovation, with reopening announced for the autumn, so check where things stand before you go. The whole Ghetto complex is closed on Shabbat and Jewish holidays. Gam Gam, at the entrance to the Ghetto, is the city's main kosher address.
