Around Via Farini sit the Tempio Maggiore, the Jewish museum, Ruth's (dairy, Rav Piperno) and Ba'Ghetto (meat). That strip is walkable for Shabbat. The Duomo and Uffizi are a walk — no kosher food inside, eat on Farini first. Chabad Tuscany hosts Shabbat meals by booking. Reserve Ruth's and Ba'Ghetto for Friday. The synagogue visit needs a ticket; for davening, register with the community ahead. Behind the synagogue there's a supermarket with a kosher aisle. The rest of the store is not kosher. Good for a Shabbat tray and cheese.
Stay in the kosher area of Florence
Florence does not have one obvious Jewish quarter. Chabad of Florence / Tuscany (Chabad house listed on the site) is the anchor - book a hotel within walking distance of it rather than picking a random part of Florence.
If you complete your booking there during this same visit, we earn a small referral commission from the partner - at no extra cost to you.
