Rome's Great Synagogue, built 1901-1904 in an eclectic style with a distinctive square aluminum dome - the only square dome on Rome's skyline. Home to the unique Italian prayer rite, one of the oldest continuous liturgical traditions in the world, predating the destruction of the Second Temple.
